The year is 2008 and the scars left by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and his followers have begun to heal in the wizarding world. A cautious hope for a brighter future grows stronger with each passing day at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the epicentre of the horrifying last battle between good and evil. With new staff, Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic has reformed and emerged stronger. Newspapers called it the Lumos Alliance; the Light Alliance, and most recently it has been generally accepted as the official title of the new war against darkness. Take part, and create your own part of the story! Lumos Alliance is a PBBG that welcomes players of all ages and abilities.

A New Term Begins!

In a time full of beginnings, we are greeted with a most excellent new beginning: a fresh new term. With many new faces, and a few old ones too, we are ringing in the new term with the Welcome Feast in the Great Hall and also with a most excellent Role-Playing Contest! Here's how it works: Between today, August 1st, and two weeks from now, August 15th (12:01am EST), any student who writes a post either in Platform 9 and 3/4 or in the Great Hall will receive House Points for their posts! Ten points will be given out to posts, fifteen to exceptional posts and five to one-line posts (you still get points though, so long as you do not spam!) There are many other new things that we hope you enjoy, including some new lessons, so dive right back in to a new term at Hogwarts and look forward to the many adventures ahead!

Lumos Alliance just experienced a full site reset today. Currently, the staff is working to put things back together so the site is as ready as can be when the new term begins tomorrow (August 1st). Students will be accepted back onto the site on August 1st, so in the meantime be patient, get your application ready, and get ready for an exciting new beginning at LA!
